Ginger has amazing stimulating and healing qualities..
This aromatic, pungent, and spicy root is liberally used in Asian kitchens. In India, adrak wali chai or ginger infused tea is a household favorite, and it’s also a great antidote for cold, cough, and headache.
Ginger is native to Asia. During the 13th and 14th centuries ginger and black pepper were commonly traded spices to Europe. These spices were exorbitantly priced and were out of reach of the common man – one pound of ginger would cost the equivalent of one sheep.
Now, the good news is this knotted, knobbly root is available year round and it doesn’t cost you a sheep.
Ginger For Hair Growth
The warming and stimulating effects of ginger work to increase the scalp circulation and encourage healthy hair growth. Ginger contain antioxidant gingerol, which helps to fight free radical – you got to keep them away as these can damage hair cells, and cause hair thinning and hair loss.
Ginger is also a great hair conditioner. Rich in minerals and essential oils, it makes hair more manageable, softer and shinier.
Besides, ginger is a useful remedy for dandruff and dry, itchy scalp. It contains natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that help keep scalp healthy and clean.
